My city
Manizales
is a middle-sized city in the central/western side of Colombia. It has
380.000 inhabitants and is located in The Andes mountain range, under the
brooding watch of "Nevado del Ruiz" volcano. The city has an average
elevation of 2150 meter above sea level and has an average temperature of 18ºC; in addition, it
is the centre of the Colombian coffee region. This is the city where I was born, raised and studied. Read more about the city on the Manizales Info page or
have a look at the Manizales Photo Tour page.
The person I admire the most
Sir Robert Baden-Powell (1857-1941) is the person I admire the most.
He was a British Army Officer and is the the Chief Scout of the World. His
ideas, which I knew through my experience as a Scout, really
shaped my life.
Baden Powell, Lord of Gilwell, founded the World Scout Movement in 1907.
His book, Scouting for Boys, was published in 1908 and is the basis for Scouting.
To get to know more about the Founder of the World Scout Movement, I recommend to

Reading
I also enjoy reading and writing about the history of philosophy and discussing about consciousness. In my blog you can find some posts about philosophy as a historical review (Sorry, in spanish only). In addition, I am currently taking part in the intruiging discussions about consciousness with my colleagues of the ICT Group - Pattern Recognition Team in Delft. Follow the keywords: philosophy and consciousness.
